“If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there.” ~ Lewis Carroll
Imagine you are booking a vacation. Do you choose a destination, wade through all the many hotels and flights, choose the highest value, lowest cost, most convenient options, and hope for a great experience without buyers’ remorse?
Most people do.
Does it always work out the way you planned? Do you ever have regrets over the time, money and opportunity you’ve invested?
What if you organized a vacation without the destination in mind? *gasp*
The BEST trips I’ve ever taken, did not start with a physical destination. Instead, I had a specific, more internal destination – I aimed to arrive at relaxation, adventure, exercise, nature … Where I found that was negotiable. In fact, it was an afterthought. I focused on my personal purpose of the trip. I came back refreshed, knowing I received much more value than what I invested.
In your career, are you focused on a physical destination? Have you ever arrived at a title, pay grade or level of responsibility, only to discover it didn’t fulfill you? Is that experience sabotaging your professional success right now?
Stephen Covey wrote “We may be very busy, we may be very efficient, but we will also be truly effective only when we begin with the end in mind.”
In our strategy session together, we’ll focus on discovering the RIGHT “end” – your internal destination. You’ll leave with specific steps to verify that destination, and help you start moving toward that end, plus some secrets of top executives, that keep them productive and focused on their right “end” when the road ahead becomes hard to follow. You’ll discover what you can do when you are tempted to go back to the same familiar paths that limit you …
- in your workplace,
- in your “personal success”, and
- in your influence factor
We’ll tackle a very quick “self-survey” that will help you discover the right plans, for the right reasons, for you.
Ready to “up your game” in the workplace? Book your private, complimentary 20 minute strategy session with me today. I’ll walk you through the survey and email you a report with your own answers, plus your best next steps to take you from where you are today, to your next level.
Why am I doing this?
- I wish someone had been there to do this with me when I was in a great position, but extremely unhappy and unsure of how to change.
- I wish someone had been there to do this with me when I discovered the company I loved wasn’t perfect and I had to make a choice.
- I wish someone had been there to do this with me when I knew what I truly wanted to do for a living, but had no idea how, or where to start.
